A West Chester strip mall doubles as a Netflix production set, and Season 3 is on the way.

Shane Gillis, a West Chester University alumnus and co-creator of the workplace comedy "Tires," returns to Valley Forge Automotive Center for a 12-episode third season premiering Wednesday, August 12 on Netflix, according to a report by Kevin Dolak for The Hollywood Reporter.

The show films on location in West Chester, next to one of co-creator Steve Gerben's father's real tire shops. Gillis purchased and built out an adjacent storefront, converting it into a working production set. Gerben, a Conestoga High School graduate, plays Will, the perpetually overwhelmed heir to a struggling auto-repair chain. Gillis plays his cousin Shane.

Season 3 raises the stakes. The cousins are now part owners of Valley Forge Automotive Center, with Will weighing the life he left behind and Shane reckoning with what it means to grow up, per Netflix's official synopsis released with the Season 3 trailer.

Oscar-nominated actor Thomas Haden Church, who joined the cast in Season 2 as Shane's wealthy and demanding father, returns alongside regulars Chris O'Connor, Kilah Fox and Stavros Halkias.

The premiere caps a massive stretch for Gillis. On Friday, July 17, his solo stand-up show at Lincoln Financial Field drew 73,946 attendees, breaking two Guinness World Records for the largest audience at a solo comedy performance. Born in Mechanicsburg, Gillis built his national profile through stand-up, podcasting and his Netflix special "Beautiful Dogs" before "Tires" put him in front of the camera as an executive producer.

The series started as a self-financed independent production before Netflix picked it up. Gerben and Gillis co-own the Valley Forge Automotive Center property where filming takes place.
