Democrats led all nine state House races covering Chester County in unofficial returns from the Nov. 3 election, with challengers Madelyn Alvarino and Elizabeth Moro ahead of Republican incumbents in two districts.

The Chester County Board of Elections dashboard, updated Nov. 4 at 4 a.m., reported 243,680 ballots counted and 62.1% turnout among 392,304 registered voters. It showed all 230 precincts reporting, but no provisional ballots in that snapshot. The totals are not certified.

Pielli holds a large advantage; Alvarino leads by 610

Rep. Chris Pielli had 19,625 votes to Republican Kris R. Vollrath’s 9,370 in House District 156. The county report assigns them 67.62% and 32.28%, respectively, including write-ins in its denominator.

In House District 13, Alvarino led Rep. John Lawrence 13,737 to 13,127, a 610-vote margin. The county percentages were 51.08% and 48.82%, with 27 write-ins.

In District 160, which crosses Chester and Delaware counties, the Department of State’s districtwide returns showed Moro with 17,834 votes to Rep. Craig Williams’s 14,590 when checked Nov. 5. Chester County alone contributed 7,032 votes for Moro and 4,762 for Williams; those county numbers are not the full district result.

The county’s election notice schedules official computation, including provisional votes, to begin Nov. 6. Full precinct reporting should not be confused with certification or completion of every ballot review.
