A Chester County jury convicted two Coatesville men of attempted murder for a 2022 shooting in which they drove to a victim's home and opened fire.

Sincere Brown-Trowery, 26, and Tyriq Parker, 26, were found guilty on Friday, Aug. 28, after a four-day trial at the West Market Street courthouse in West Chester, the Daily Local reported. The jury also convicted both men of conspiracy and related charges.

Judge Bret Binder presided over the trial in Chester County Court of Common Pleas.

The case stems from Feb. 24, 2022, when Brown-Trowery and Parker drove to a residence on the 500 block of Walnut Street in Coatesville and opened fire on a man outside his home, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. The victim survived by seeking shelter inside his vehicle as the defendants fired several rounds into the car, the DA's office said.

The two men fled in a green BMW.

The victim called 911 and reported the shooting to the Coatesville City Police Department, which led the investigation. Chester County detectives assisted.

Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said the defendants "worked in coordination to try and assassinate someone sitting in their car."

He added that the jury held both men accountable for their actions.

Chief Deputy District Attorney of Investigations Andrea Cardamone and Assistant District Attorney Jack Meehan prosecuted the case.

Brown-Trowery also has a separate conviction in Chester County. He pleaded guilty in May 2024 to kidnapping, robbery, intimidation of a witness, persons not to possess a firearm and conspiracy in a case involving a 2023 Coatesville kidnapping, according to the Daily Local. He received a sentence of 15 to 30 years in state prison plus 30 years of probation in that case.

No statements from defense attorneys for either defendant appeared in available reports. The victim's identity has not been released.

Both men are scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Binder on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Chester County Court of Common Pleas in West Chester.
