A Malvern couple has launched a new organic decaf cold brew now stocked on Chester County shelves, giving local coffee drinkers a caffeine-free option from a homegrown brand.
Lowkey Coffee, founded by Adriana and Christopher Gindlesperger, launched Tuesday, July 7, with two canned cold brew varieties — unsweetened black and vanilla — available online and at ANEU Kitchens in Paoli, about 10 miles from West Chester.
Both products carry USDA organic certification. The company uses the Swiss Water Process, a chemical-free method that removes caffeine using only water, temperature and time, according to the company's press release.
The idea grew from personal experience. Adriana Gindlesperger, 38, switched to decaf during her pregnancy and found she felt less anxious, she told Bloomberg in a June 8 profile of the growing decaf trend. Unable to find a canned decaf she liked, she and Christopher decided to make their own.
"The future of coffee isn't necessarily more caffeine — it's better decaf," Adriana Gindlesperger said in a press release.
A growing market
The Gindlespergers are entering a category with momentum. Dollar sales of beverages labeled "decaf" grew almost 37% in the 52 weeks ending May 9, 2026, according to NielsenIQ data cited by Bloomberg. Sales of refrigerated ready-to-drink decaffeinated coffee and tea rose nearly 15% in a separate 52-week period ending March 22, 2026, per the same reporting.
Lowkey Coffee markets its cans as a lower-caffeine, sugar-free alternative to mainstream cold brews. The company does not add sweeteners to either variety.
Where to find it
Chester County residents can pick up Lowkey Coffee at ANEU Kitchens, 1556 Lancaster Ave. in Paoli. ANEU also operates locations in Bryn Mawr and at the New Jersey Shore.
Online orders ship free through DrinkLowkey.com.
What's next
The company said it plans to expand distribution to additional retailers, though it has not named specific stores or a timeline. Lowkey Coffee was founded in 2023 as a partnership, according to its LinkedIn profile, and the July 7 launch marks its first products reaching consumers.
