West Chester's Riley Davis put up 83 goals and 12 assists during the 2026 spring lacrosse season, capping a junior year that cemented her status as the nation's No. 1 recruit in the class of 2027.

Davis, a midfielder at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, led the Inter-AC League in scoring with 95 points while adding 134 draw controls, 95 ground balls and 44 caused turnovers, according to VISTA.Today. USA Lacrosse named her the 2026 High School Girls' Mid-Atlantic Region Midfielder of the Year.

The 5-foot-9½ rising senior also earned USA Lacrosse All-American honors from the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter and honorable mention Private Girls' Player of the Year from PhillyLacrosse.

Her production powered Notre Dame to a 16-7 record and a run to the PAISAA semifinals. The Irish finished No. 10 in the final USA Lacrosse national Top 25.

Davis committed to Penn State on Sept. 17, 2025, becoming the first No. 1 national recruit in Nittany Lions women's lacrosse history. She joined new head coach Kayla Treanor's inaugural recruiting class alongside five-star midfielder Kelsey Young of Agnes Irwin, according to USA Lacrosse Magazine.

The Davis family is stacked with college athletes. Her father, Ben Davis, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1995 MLB Draft out of Malvern Prep and played catcher for San Diego, Seattle and Chicago before becoming a Phillies TV color analyst. Her mother, Megan Davis, played both soccer and lacrosse at Rutgers. Older brother Tague set the Louisville freshman home run record with 18 during the 2026 NCAA season, and older sister Finley, a Notre Dame de Namur senior, is headed to Furman to play lacrosse.

"I wanted to play so bad I was willing to be the goalie," Davis told Inside Lacrosse in September 2025, recalling how she begged to play up with sister Finley after her mother introduced her to the sport at age 7.

Through three varsity seasons, Davis has compiled 243 goals and 66 assists, according to season totals reported by VISTA.Today and Inside Lacrosse. She has one senior campaign left at Notre Dame de Namur before enrolling at Penn State, where she'll join Treanor's first full recruiting class.
