Acme Markets pharmacists will staff flu shot clinics at the West Chester Area YMCA on Monday, Sept. 28.

The morning session runs 9 a.m. to noon at 605 Airport Road. An evening session follows from 4 to 7 p.m.

The clinics are part of a nine-site partnership between Acme Markets and the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, MyChesCo reported. The schedule runs Monday, Sept. 14 through Oct. 26 at YMCA locations across Chester County, including Kennett Square, Coatesville, Jennersville, Berwyn, Downingtown and Lionville.

Acme Director of Pharmacy Operations Janis Levit said the partnership helps the company reach residents closer to home with preventive health services. The clinics are open to the public, according to the MyChesCo report.

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine operates nine facilities serving nearly 112,000 people across the county. Residents can check availability and register through the Acme Markets website at acmemarkets.com.

The Acme-YMCA clinics are separate from the Chester County Health Department's own fall vaccination program, which MyChesCo reported Sept. 9 offers flu and COVID-19 shots at the Government Services Center in West Chester on varying days from Sept. 14 through Dec. 18. The county's clinics are free for uninsured residents and carry no copay for those with insurance.

No pricing or insurance details have been announced for the Acme-YMCA sessions.
