A. Duie Pyle has finished two expansion projects at once: a 78,760-square-foot warehouse in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, and a 44-door freight service center near Cincinnati.

The West Goshen-based carrier, family-owned since 1924, said the projects strengthen its supply chain network across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio, the Daily Local reported.

The Cumberland County warehouse sits at 485 Terminal St., adjacent to Pyle's existing less-than-truckload service center. Together, the two buildings now operate as a single logistics hub, the company said in a press release. The campus connects warehousing and transportation on one site near Interstates 81, 76 and 83 and U.S. Route 15.

"Connecting inventory and transportation under one roof creates a stronger, more responsive supply chain," Chief Commercial Officer Frank Granieri said in the company's announcement.

Pyle said the location serves industries that depend on quick replenishment, including health care, medical supplies and manufacturing.

Ohio service center

The Ohio facility, in West Chester Township outside Cincinnati, extends Pyle's direct LTL network into southwest Ohio. The company said the center strengthens freight connections between Ohio, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic.

The company expects 21 jobs initially. It should employ about three dozen people by the end of 2026, with additional hiring possible as shipment volumes and the company's presence in the area grow.

Granieri said Cincinnati gives Pyle "an important presence in southwest Ohio." He said the facility allows the company to extend its direct LTL service to more customers while linking Ohio to its established Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.

Broader growth

Pyle also announced groundbreaking this year on an integrated warehouse and LTL service center near the Port of Virginia in Suffolk. The company operates in 15 states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and Virginia.

The Suffolk project is the next facility in Pyle's pipeline, though the company has not announced a completion date.
